Getting Ready

As I arrived to the venue, the heat was creeping up and the air was buzzing with anticipation. The bride, Cheyenne, put the finishing touches on her written vows as the groom, Christian, suited up.

first Look & Private Vows

Cheyenne did a first look with her father first. She accented the moment with a letter of gratitude to her father and the two embraced warmly. Shortly after, the groomsmen stood between the bride and groom, and gave the groom a short blessing before the big reveal. A feeling of pride and gratitude overwhelmed Christian as he saw his bride for the first time in her wedding dress. The two exchanged private vows, which reminisced over their shared past, their planned future and, cemented their commitment to one another.

Wedding Party Portraits

Shortly after the private vows, the flower girls, groomsmen, and bridesmaids gathered around to celebrate the bride and groom for formal portraits.

Guest Arrivals

As the bride retreated back to her suite, the guests arrived and the groom made the rounds to greet them. More notably, the groom shared an emotional embrace with his grandmother, with whom he shared a deep bond. Other guests shook hands, took selfies, and caught up in the air conditioned basement, shaded deck, and backyard ceremony space.

The Ceremony

As it reached the hottest peak of the day, the ceremony proceeded as planned. Attendees perspired from the heat and shed tears from the joyful emotions of the day as Cheyenne and Christian exchanged heartfelt vows.

Group Portraits

With the whole roster in attendance, it was time to get some close family portraits before the sun set.

Sunset Portraits

When Cheyenne & Christian first reached out to me they asked for "dreamy" photos surrounded by loved ones. Due to some delays, we only had about 10 minutes before the sun set on their wedding day but we were able to squeeze out the absolute best of it.

Reception

As the sun went down the bride and groom made their grand entrance and shared their first dance as the first dish was served. Immediately after they thanked everyone for attending as well as the vendors for their efforts. This was followed by speeches from special guests and the first dance with the parents. After that it was time to cut the cake and take one big group photo before the DJ dropped the beat.

Dance floor

Despite being a Thursday night, the wedding guests still pulled out all the stops on the dance floor. The jams from Superior Events DJs played a mix of music ranging from top 100 hits to more hispanic dance rhythms for those who flew in on the grooms side from out of town.

Send Off

At last, it was time to gather everyone for the final send off of the bride and groom. Sparklers were distributed to the guests and the bride and groom walked down the aisle with flair. They sealed off the night with one last kiss. As a final touch I gave the newlyweds a polaroid I snuck in during their ceremony.
